High level programming languages

Interpreted programming languages

Declarative approach

Applications over the web guarantee the latest version

Different devices

Different users (disabled etc.)

Software is difficult to write, lesscode.org

Most people don’t write softwaer, they do write spreadsheets because Excel® just works.

Declarative code leads to less code, less fidgeting with details, housekeeping and such

Sidewinder rich web browser

Combination of XHTML, XForms, SVG and XBL

SVG is a stylesheet for XForms bound using XBL

Also did a recode of Google Maps in XForms which was a lot smaller.

Xerox uses XForms on their new copiers and it takes them a lot less time.

Accessible applications - clean MVC separation can bind accessible interfaces

Device independent applications - same

Re-use - segmenst are not hard wired to each other

Lesscode -
